A hideaway for vintage rock gear lovers.
VINTAGE TONES, MEANT TO BE PLAYED.
Kyoto, the thousand-year capital.
Beneath Gion, its old nighttime heart, we built a hideaway for vintage rock gear lovers.
Guitars, amps, and effects from the 1950s to the 1970s have become rare creatures — often admired, but rarely held, plugged in, and truly felt.
Here, they are not just displayed.
They are meant to be touched, played, and heard.
You do not have to play perfectly.
A simple riff is enough. One favorite chord is enough.
In an age of programmed beats and polished pop, there is still a magic that only vibrating strings, glowing tubes, and loud old amps can make.
We want to keep that magic alive — together with guitar freaks from all over the world.
Bar The Fuzzy Pit is a place to gather, play, drink well, and talk deep about tone.
A small sanctuary in Gion, Kyoto, for vintage guitar freaks.

Bar & Libations
Carefully chosen sake, craft beer, and natural wine sit at the heart of the bar at The Fuzzy Pit — a hidden vintage guitar bar tucked beneath Gion, Kyoto.
Our drinks are selected to match the atmosphere of the room: relaxed, characterful, and made for long conversations about guitars, amps, records, and tone. Alongside them, we serve a small selection of Kyoto bites inspired by the city’s long food culture.
Traditional sweets, pickles, and simple local snacks offer a taste of Kyoto without turning the night into a formal dining experience. They are small, familiar flavors designed to sit naturally beside a glass of wine, sake, or beer.
If you have come all the way to Kyoto, we want you to experience a little more than the sound of vintage gear. We want you to taste the city too.
For slow nights, loud stories, and deep dives into vintage guitars, classic amplifiers, analog effects, and the sounds that made rock history.
